De 25 de maio a 1º de junho, treze prefeitos e líderes do governo local de 7 países diferentes se reuniram em Siargao, Filipinas, para o encontro global Coastal 500. Eles visitaram os municípios de Santa Monica, Del Carmen e General Luna para ver os programas gerenciados de acesso e reservas, inclusão financeira, proteção social e adaptação climática em ação. Eles passaram as tardes trocando ideias, melhores práticas e desafios. À noite, eles comiam, dançavam e cultivavam novas amizades.

UNCBD COP 17
The seventeenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), where governments, Indigenous Peoples, scientists, civil society, and other stakeholders come together to advance global action to protect nature. COP17 will focus on implementing the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, accelerating progress toward biodiversity targets, and strengthening international cooperation on conservation, sustainable use, and equitable benefit-sharing. The conference provides a key opportunity to showcase innovative partnerships and solutions that support healthy, resilient coastal and marine ecosystems, as we work towards 30x30.
